Job Summary
Senior Care Assistant providing hands-on home care with minimum 45-minute visits, mentoring the care team, onboarding new clients, delivering hands-on care, and completing essential office tasks. Role includes ensuring accurate and updated care plans, caregiver spot checks, shadowing training of new caregivers, adherence to policies, and a flexible on-call schedule. Opportunity for career progression within the local Right at Home team and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ months hands-on care experience
- full UK/EU driving licence or access to vehicle
- availability for early mornings (from 7am), afternoons (from 2pm) and every other weekend
- willingness to attend a 3-day training course
- live locally to Stevenage, Letchworth, Hitchin and surrounding areas
- experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in NHS would be beneficial
- ability to build relationships with clients and families
- confident in following policies and procedures
- desire to progress into roles such as Care Coordinator/ Supervisor/ Manager
- DBS check (Free DBS offered)
- enhancement on bank holidays
- mileage paid at 40p per mile
- fully paid travel time
- flexible and rotational on-call responsibilities
