Job Summary
Senior Care Assistant (Nights) in Harpenden, UK leading a team of Health Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and meals, administering medication (training provided), updating and maintaining care plans and records, delivering dignity-focused care, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment, and supporting residents’ families. Requires at least 2 years’ care experience, Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or in progress), and ability to mentor junior staff.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant
- Trained in medication administration
- Excellent people and customer service skills
- Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff
- Time management to delegate tasks within a team
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, including care plans
- Digital skills
