Job Summary
Senior Care Assistant – Days lead a care team to deliver person-centred clinical nursing care to residents at Charlotte House Care Home in Bebington, Wirral. You will manage, allocate duties and supervise the care team, promote high-standard care, and take responsibility for safeguarding adults. You’ll deliver and oversee residents’ care according to individual plans, provide supervision and coaching to Care Assistants, maintain required records, manage daily rotas, delegate workload, and build relationships with external professionals. The role requires medication management and administration experience, experience with older people, NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Social Care (or equivalent), and strong communication skills. The position offers progression into senior management, with benefits including annual leave, DBS and uniform, training, pension, and other wellbeing programs.
Required Qualifications
- Medication management and administration experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent (or achieve within first 12 months)
- Experience working with older people
- Evidence of ability to contribute to assessment, planning and evaluation of care needs
- Sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care in residential/nursing settings
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and confidence
