Job Summary
Lead the transformation of conceptual designs into detailed, high-quality working documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools for wind and solar energy projects. Oversee preliminary layouts and final designs, ensuring integration with engineering notes, survey base maps, and topographic data. Spearhead civil construction plans including site layouts, roadway alignments, profiles, cross sections, drainage designs, and complex grading schemes. Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and deliverables to ensure accuracy and alignment with industry best practices. Serve as a senior point of contact coordinating with project management and engineering teams to drive milestones to completion. Implement document control systems, manage multiple projects, and provide mentorship to junior staff while adhering to advanced CAD standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of high-level experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools
- demonstrated track record of leading and delivering complex civil design projects
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Drafting/Design, or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of Civil 3D project organization, advanced drawing structures, and adherence to CAD industry standards
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
- Attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently

- Utilize advanced Civil 3D capabilities, including surface and corridor creation, pipe networks, grading tools, and Sheet Set Manager procedures
- Develop, implement, and adhere to advanced CAD standards and structured programs
- Excel in verbal and written communication, presenting technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is preferred
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Experience in Renewable Energy and/or Oil and Gas is a plus
