Senior CAD Designer

Job Summary
Develop accurate CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical plans for commercial construction projects while utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-specific programs. Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met, and review architectural and engineering drawings to interpret construction systems. Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards, and assist in material take-offs and cost estimations. Maintain detailed documentation of all drawings and revisions, providing support during the construction phase to resolve design issues as needed. Minimum five years of experience in CAD design for commercial construction projects required, with proficiency in relevant software and strong knowledge of construction materials and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the commercial construction industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction systems, materials, and installation methods
- Understanding of building codes, construction standards, and safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents and specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with BIM modeling and 3D design tools
- Familiarity with estimating software for construction materials
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Certifications in construction or CAD software are a plus
