Job Summary
Senior Software Systems Engineer responsible for end-to-end software delivery in a remote U.S.-based role. Lead/participate in full-stack development using .Net and C#, build RESTful APIs, and ensure performance, quality, and security of web applications. Contribute to Agile processes, perform unit testing, CI/CD deployments, and provide mentorship to junior developers. Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, document designs, and leverage IDE tools (Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git). Proficiency in MVC, ORM (Entity Framework), SQL Server, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is required. This role also involves code reviews, problem-solving, and ensuring quality across the software development lifecycle, with a focus on enterprise-level applications and integration with external systems (EDI/X12) in some cases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Five (5) or more years of professional software development experience using .NET technologies
- Expertise in .Net Framework and .Net Core with strong C# proficiency
- Experience with MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and ORM (Entity Framework)
- Proficiency with SQL Server and database design
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Proficiency with Git and source-control workflows
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to mentor junior developers
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and APIs
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization
- Experience with software design documentation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity
