Job Summary
Senior C#/.Net Engineer role (Remote, U.S.-based) within Syms Strategic Group. Core duties include technical planning, detailed requirements definition, test planning/execution, software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems. Responsibilities span full-stack development using .Net/C#, MVC, RESTful APIs, unit testing (NUnit/xUnit/MSTest), and CI/CD deployments. The role emphasizes Agile practices, design/documentation of software designs, collaboration with stakeholders, and mentoring junior developers. Proficiency with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git; familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS); focus on performance, quality, and secure web applications. Requires 5+ years in .Net software development, a Bachelor's (or higher) in a technical field, and U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. 100% U.S.-based remote position; some geographical restrictions apply for applicants in certain states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline required with eight (8) or more years of experience; Master’s Degree or Ph.D. with additional experience may be considered
- Five (5) or more years of experience in software development using .Net technologies
- Experience with .Net framework and .Net Core, C#
- Experience with MVC architecture and RESTful APIs
- Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools
- Experience with unit testing (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest)
- Experience with Visual Studio and Git
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities
- U.S. Citizenship and security clearances requirements (Public Trust)
- Remote work authorized for U.S.-based candidates
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience with DevOps practices and IaC
- Security best practices for web applications and APIs
