Job Summary
Senior C#/.NET Engineer responsibilities include technical planning, requirements definition, test planning/execution, software systems integration, and technical support for software systems; participate in daily stand-ups; develop back-end services in .NET/C#, implement CI/CD pipelines, ensure performance/quality of applications, support production solutions, promote test automation and modular design, collaborate with stakeholders, document designs, and use IDEs like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git. Emphasizes full-stack development within an Agile framework, with leadership expectations to mentor junior developers and drive high-quality software through code reviews, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline (required) with eight or more years of experience; Master’s Degree with five or more years; Ph.D. with three or more years
- Five (5) or more years of experience in software development using .Net technologies
- Experience with .Net framework and .Net Core
- Proficiency in back-end development with MVC and C#
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- SQL Server and Entity Framework experience
- Cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS)
- CI/CD practices and tools
- Unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest)
- Version control (Git, TFS/TFVC)
- Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Security best practices for web apps and APIs
- Mentoring junior developers
- Knowledge of microservices and containerization
- EDI X.12 familiarity
- US Citizenship required for opportunity
- Public Trust (MBI) clearance requirement
