Job Summary
Lead and coordinate event setups, room changes, and breakdowns across Conference & Events spaces, including staging, furniture, AV equipment, and décor. Ensure every event space is presented to a high standard and ready on time, while taking the lead during events to respond quickly to changes and keep operations running smoothly. Allocate tasks, support, train, and motivate the Conference & Events Porter team, working closely with Banqueting and wider hotel teams to deliver a seamless guest experience. Maintain health and safety standards and provide a warm, professional service to clients, organisers, and guests. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within Conference & Events, Banqueting or a similar hospitality environment
- Good knowledge of event room setups and operations
- Experience leading, supervising or supporting a team
- Strong organisation, communication and time-management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a real eye for detail
- Someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure and enjoys working as part of a busy team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- You must meet the legal requirements to work in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Senior Porter or supervisory experience
