Job Summary
Curate the perfect product mix by independently purchasing exciting new products from external brands and strategically managing purchasing budgets and key performance indicators. Shape the future of the assortment by collaborating with the Head of Buying to develop and optimize the product range based on current trends and customer needs. Master negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions, while continuously monitoring the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for enhancement. Take ownership of a specific product category as the go-to expert, driving success through strategic purchasing decisions and supplier relationship management. Partner closely with Merchandise Management and planning teams to ensure seamless coordination from selection to delivery. Requires a degree in economics or textile management, at least four years of independent buying experience, strong analytical skills, and business fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in economics or textile management
- At least four years of professional experience in independent buying of fashion wholesale brands
- Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
- Several years of negotiating experience
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Structured approach to work and reliability
- Distinct sense of trends and understanding of fashion
- Hands-on mentality
- Business fluent in written and spoken English
