Job Summary
Develop a comprehensive Camping strategy to drive growth in sales, brands, suppliers, and new product listings. Source and prioritize new brands and suppliers aligned with market trends, while delivering against key financial and service level performance indicators. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and trading terms, and oversee stock availability and replenishment orders. Develop promotional programmes, manage site merchandising, and support operations by monitoring returns and resolving customer complaints. Ensure products are delivered on time with managed quality and terms.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years related retail buying / commerce / e-commerce experience
- Experience in Camping or outdoor
- National Diploma / Bachelor's Degree (Business Science or Commerce degree preferable)
- Strong commercial acumen
- Strong product and buying planning skills
- Ability to manage priorities according to clear prioritization and structured planning
- Comfortable with change and excellent team player
- Passionate about the industry and the potential of e-commerce
- Understanding of the key business drivers within online retail
- Entrepreneurial/commercial mindset
- Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, ability to use data to inform decisions, identify the root cause and resolve problem
Desired Qualifications
- If the Degree / Diploma qualification isn't met, at least 8 years related retail / commerce / e-commerce experience will be required
- Existing industry networks a significant plus
