Job Summary
Oversee purchasing of materials and services, ensuring quality, quantity, delivery dates, and cost. Self-engage in negotiations with suppliers on advantageous terms and conditions. Conduct daily review and execution of system-generated MRP messages, ensuring all purchase orders are confirmed by suppliers within 48 hours of transmission. Maintain clear PO updates, system static data, and supplier scorecard reviews. Qualify minimum two sources on all materials and conduct regular supplier visits to negotiate costs and stocking programs. Liaise with warehouse staff for receiving documentation and coordinate payment schedules with Accounting. Process returns to vendors after Material Review Board disposition. Contribute to department team incentive goals based on productivity and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred but not required
- 5–7 years of experience within supply chain or procurement preferred
