Job Summary
Analyze and execute all aspects of procurement for raw materials, packaging, MRO, freight, and associated services, including competitive bidding, source selection, purchase order creation, and supplier management. Analyze global market developments for key commodities to develop strategic plans mitigating adverse effects. Coordinate with Operations on ERP-driven requirements to ensure material availability, price/cost visibility, and inventory compliance. Negotiate supplier terms and agreements while adhering to Quanex and SOX guidelines, and manage on-time deliveries. Maintain sourcing metrics and coordinate with internal customers on non-ERP sourcing. This role requires 5-7 years of manufacturing purchasing experience and strong conflict resolution skills. Salary ranges from $54,000 to $82,000 with bonus potential.
