Job Summary
Own the end-to-end supply chain and supplier relationships for assigned commodities, evaluating capacity to support customer demand and analyzing requirements to place purchase orders. Manage inventory within predefined Min/Max levels, negotiate with suppliers to mitigate delivery issues, and monitor on-time delivery while escalating constraints as needed. Lead NPI transitions to production, participate in Supplier Business Review meetings, and collaborate with accounts payable to reconcile discrepancies. Manage EOL/LTB decisions, process RTV's with the MRB team, and prepare for annual regulatory audits. Identify supply chain risks and offer creative solutions while partnering with sourcing on special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of purchasing experience
- Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
- Experience in supply planning and/or experience managing subcontract PO's
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information
- Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of S & OP process
- Understanding of MRP systems, bill of materials, engineering change order processes
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Travel up to 10% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Epicor experience a plus
- APICS and ISM Certifications
