Job Summary
Manage direct and indirect material procurement for turbojet engine manufacturing, including planning purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and scheduling components with 6+ month lead times. Develop and maintain supplier relationships while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement. Place purchase requisitions for repairs, balance of plant, and tooling to ensure on-time delivery of components for advanced defense systems. Maintain comprehensive documentation of sourcing processes and enhance internal and external customer relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of applicable professional experience in procurement
- 5+ years of procurement experience in an aerospace or turbine/engine manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with business processes related to sourcing and purchase order management
- Direct experience with ERP systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Initiative-taker with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced changing environment
- U.S. citizens, as defined under applicable federal regulations
