Job Summary
Lead strategic procurement across four engineering businesses, sourcing engineered components, machined parts, and specialist materials while interpreting technical drawings and BOMs. Negotiate supplier development, drive cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and consolidation, and manage inventory and lead times to ensure production schedules. Uphold ISO standards and collaborate closely with engineering, production, and operations teams to maintain quality and compliance. Ensure material availability for complex assemblies and precision parts while optimizing supply chains for global customers. Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience in engineering or manufacturing procurement
- Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, stainless-steel components, and mechanical assemblies
- Confidence reading technical drawings and understanding engineering specifications
- A track record of supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and supply chain optimisation
- ERP/MRP experience and a structured approach to purchasing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in packaging machinery, automation, laboratory equipment, or precision machining
- Exposure to international supply chains and global sourcing
- Familiarity with ISO-certified engineering environments
