Job Summary
Provide an effective procurement service for sub-contractors on the GGP project, developing regional supply chain strategies that demonstrate best value for money. Structure the supply chain to meet regional operating unit demand, ensuring consistent procurement approaches from the pre-construction stage through to commissioning. Monitor market pricing trends and risks while assessing new supply chain members, fostering inclusive relationships with strategic partners to drive cost benefits and improved performance. Coordinate procurement activities across regional units and integrate with other operating units to support group functional goals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a procurement role
- CIPS accredited
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of work practices, processes and procedures within the construction process from pre-construction stage and into construction stage
- Must be happy to travel to site as and when needed
- Must be able to drive
- Must have the legal right to live and work in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Experience gained within a construction or civil engineering environment
- Ideally with Substation or OHL experience
- Knowledge of key trades for Power, Transmission & Distribution projects / supply chain
