Job Summary
Senior Buyer for Mountain Hardwear & Equipment, a hybrid role based at the Portland, OR HQ, focused on developing strategic product assortments, open-to-buy, inventory management, and pricing strategies to drive sales and margin. Collaborates cross-functionally with allocation, planning, merchandising, marketing, and store teams to execute assortments, in-season receipt flow, and go-to-market strategies. Requires 5-8 years of retail buying experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong Excel/Illustrator skills; aims to optimize in-stock positioning across North America DTC channels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years of professional experience in retail buying or related field
- Strong understanding of retail industry metrics and buying processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Illustrator experience preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
