Job Summary
Senior Buyer with 3-5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing; responsible for purchasing production materials, components, castings, packaging, and operational supplies; manage supplier relationships and delivery schedules; review forecasts, inventory levels, and MRP recommendations to support purchasing decisions; monitor material availability and address shortages; manage customer-supplied casting and material programs; collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering; support ERP system utilization and process improvements; participate in supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience with inventory management and material planning is preferred
- Experience supporting customer-supplied inventory programs is a plus
