Job Summary
Senior Buyer at JD Sports Fashion responsible for developing forward buying strategy with Head of Buying/Buying Director, mentoring junior buyers, leading vendor negotiations and brand onboarding, representing buying in cross-functional meetings, analyzing markets and trends, managing budgets and OTB, presenting ranges and department strategy, and driving sales through product and brand opportunities across sports fashion and outdoor segments. Requires strong presentation skills, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, analytical and numerical capabilities, and the ability to work autonomously in a creative, trend-led environment. Location is JD Sports Fashion plc, Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, Bury. In-person remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced Buyer or currently in a senior buying role
- Experience of buying Sports Fashion is advantageous
- Experience of buying branded goods is essential
- Strong presentation skills
- Fully literate in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Organisational skills
- Be able to work under own initiative
- A creative and trend led individual
- Analytical and numerical skills
