Job Summary
Manage procurement and purchasing activities for assigned suppliers and categories of spend, including preparing, reviewing, and issuing purchase orders, RFQs, and SAP production orders. Monitor inventory replenishment requirements to determine appropriate purchase order timing and quantities while identifying alternate sources of supply and cost reduction opportunities. Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations to drive supplier performance, cost savings, and supply chain risk reduction. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Inventory Control to support production requirements and operational initiatives. Analyze and report procurement KPIs and supply chain metrics for the Supply Chain Power BI dashboard. Assist the Senior Manager with strategic projects and departmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree and/or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, strategic sourcing, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, buyer/planner, or supply chain roles
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, machinery, or engineered products environments
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, RFQs, purchase orders, lead times, inventory requirements, supplier performance, and cost reduction initiatives
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, bill-of-material-driven purchasing, production planning, or work order requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering prints, material specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, demand planning, supplier development, and total cost of ownership principles
- Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships, communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with logistics operations, supplier communications, and import/customs procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems; SAP Business One or SAP experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Concur, procurement systems, project management tools, and data reporting platforms
- Travel approximately 5–10% of the time; domestic and/or international supplier visits
Desired Qualifications

- Familiarity with logistics operations, supplier communications, and import/customs procedures preferred
- Power BI experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Concur, procurement systems, project management tools, and data reporting platforms is considered an asset
