Job Summary
Senior Buyer for Salumi & Formaggi (SAFO) leads procurement strategy for salumi, formaggi, antipasti and dairy across Eataly North America; manages catalog development, supplier relationships, pricing and margin optimization, cost savings initiatives, new product launches, and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Finance, HR, and store leadership. Responsible for overseeing the Category Manager, analyzing buying catalogs, monitoring pricing/margins by category, researching supply chain opportunities, and ensuring assortment aligns with sales goals; requires bachelor’s degree, 5+ years procurement experience, 3+ years category management or lifecycle experience, strong data/analytical skills, and Italian product knowledge preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years in a procurement role
- 3+ years of category management or supply chain experiencing encompassing the entire product lifecycle including but not limited to sourcing, order placement and receiving practices, product catalog maintenance, inventory management and optimization, forecasting, and KPI, margin and COGS parameters
- Strong data and analytical skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Italian product knowledge preferred
