Job Summary
Sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement for compressor equipment and related components to optimize costs and ensure quality standards. Identify and evaluate suppliers to secure competitive pricing, analyze market trends, and develop strategic sourcing recommendations. Manage the complete procurement lifecycle, including purchase orders and contracts, while conducting technical evaluations of specifications with engineering teams. Monitor inventory levels, maintain organized documentation of supplier agreements, and utilize ERP systems to track orders and generate analytical reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Tech)
- 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with demonstrated expertise in equipment or industrial goods purchasing
- Must be able to travel up to 20% within North America
- Experience negotiating contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively
- Excellent analytical and cost management skills, including budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Experience with vendor evaluation, quality assurance, and performance metrics
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC, Automotive, Compressor or Industrial sourcing experience
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Strong knowledge of compressor equipment, specifications, and industrial applications
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a detail-oriented approach to procurement activities
- APICS, CPIM, or similar supply chain certification
- Experience with strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier consolidation projects
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
