Job Summary
Senior Buyer responsible for tolling-to-turnkey transition and end-to-end purchasing operations at Basic Research. Own purchasing execution, design of workflows and data integrity standards within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, PO management, and supplier management. Build scalable processes, manage inventory planning and safety stock, maintain traceability in BC, and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations,Quality, and Product Development to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective sourcing. Focus on transitioning tolling inventory to turnkey purchasing, coordinating with third-party manufacturers, and establishing robust supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement through a structured procurement roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems
- Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing vendor performance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
- Energized by building systems and solving operational problems in ambiguous environments
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience is a strong plus
