Job Summary
Issue requests for quotation, analyze supplier bids, and place purchase orders to contribute to cost-effective procurement. Manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and take action to mitigate supply risks while ensuring a reliable flow of materials. Collaborate with planners, engineers, and other departments to resolve limited-scope problems such as price variances or delivery delays and recommend effective solutions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 2+ years of progressive procurement experience, and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
- experience within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of successful negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed procurement decisions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
