Job Summary
Execute daily procurement of ingredients, packaging, proteins, produce, and indirect supplies to support meal kit and tray manufacturing across East and West Coast facilities. Manage purchase orders through the Navision ERP/MRP system, monitor delivery timelines, and expedite critical orders to prevent production downtime. Negotiate pricing with suppliers, optimize inventory levels, and recommend cost reduction opportunities while ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, and GMP standards. Travel 20-30% between manufacturing sites and supplier locations to manage shortages and support cross-functional projects. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of food manufacturing purchasing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4–6 years of purchasing or buying experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or meal kit production
- Experience purchasing ingredients, packaging, proteins, produce, or manufacturing supplies
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as Navision
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to travel 20-30% as business needs require
- Ability to work in-person from either locations is required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities preferred
