Job Summary
Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solution designs while leading end-to-end implementation of platform solutions, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment. Define and validate non-functional requirements to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability, then collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architecture, and vendor teams to drive alignment and accountability. Interpret complex datasets to support business decisions and identify efficiency improvements while maintaining comprehensive documentation and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This full-time, permanent hybrid role based at Vancity head office reports to the Manager, Application Tech.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role supporting complex technology environments
- Proven ability to analyze business needs and translate requirements into clear, scalable technical designs and solution recommendations
- Experience supporting full lifecycle technology implementations, including requirements analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with complex datasets, system information, and server logs to support data-informed decisions
- Experience with systems integration, API design, Swagger, data mapping, vendor coordination, and solution delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, technical, architecture, and vendor teams
- Ability to produce clear documentation, reports, and presentations that communicate findings, requirements, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Adaptable and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities, learn quickly, and apply new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within financial services or highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks or platform-based technologies
- Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies
- Must be available for on-site presence for events and business demands
