Job Summary
Own and architect the GCP data environment, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage, while writing and maintaining Python-based ETL pipelines that pull data from source platforms like Toggl, Rippling, Xero, and Salesforce into BigQuery. Own the full Tableau dashboard portfolio end to end, including connections, SQL, refresh schedules, quality control, documentation, and bug resolution, while building new dashboards for executive, director, and operational audiences. Diagnose data integrity issues across the analytics layer, routing problems to the pipeline, dashboard, or source system, and serve as the first point of contact when dashboards break or pipelines fail. Partner with stakeholders across Business Operations, Finance, People and Talent, Sales, and IT to translate business needs into working data solutions. This role stabilizes and re-architects an existing ecosystem to support deeper AI integration across Operations, Finance, People, and Sales.
Required Qualifications
- A proven track record owning a data or reporting platform end to end with minimal oversight
- 8 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a hybrid of these
- 3 or more years of hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage
- Strong Python development experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines, writing Python regularly rather than occasionally
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working in cloud data warehouses
- Experience designing and building Tableau dashboards from the ground up, not just consuming or modifying existing ones
- Strong ability to independently diagnose data problems across pipeline, dashboard, and source system layers
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
- Active use of AI as part of your engineering workflow, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codex, building with it day to day rather than only being familiar with it
- English proficiency at a B2 level or above
