Job Summary
Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead Financial reporting and automation for CMM Finance. Partner across Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to drive reporting modernization, streamline processes, reduce rework, and create scalable best practices. Leverage Power BI to create and maintain finance reports, manage SAP Analytics Cloud tasks, lead bi-weekly forecasting discussions, build ad hoc reports, document processes in NetSuite/SAC, and develop semantic layers with governed Power BI data sources. Mentor analysts through code reviews, training, and office hours; upskill teams in SQL/Snowflake, Power BI, semantic modeling, automation, and Excel reporting improvements via VBA. Drive stakeholder management, governance, and cross-functional initiatives, and identify upstream issues to prevent rework. Prioritize onboarding with reusable components and documentation; explore new automation opportunities to improve current-state processes. Lead governance efforts and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, delivering executive-ready insights and recommendations. A systems thinker who values craftsmanship, standardization, and scalability in fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environments.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
- 7+ years in BI, Analytics, Data Engineering, or related fields
- Expert (7+ years) Power BI, SQL competency
- Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, financial reporting, and reporting architectures
- Experience creating automated solutions for finance teams
- Experience creating dashboards for finance teams
- Experience with reporting standards, governance, or QA frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and influence without authority across the enterprise
- Experience mentoring analysts and raising technical capability
