Job Summary

Lead and manage the Investment Data Council, driving agenda development, stakeholder alignment, and outcome documentation for enterprise data issues. Partner with business, investment, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams to prioritize data problems and define quality standards for critical domains including securities, benchmarks, and pricing. Oversee governance practices, validation rules, and exception management while overseeing sourcing, processing, and distribution across internal platforms and external vendors. Identify opportunities to simplify operations and automate processes using SQL, Python, and PowerApps. Translate complex data topics into clear business cases and actionable roadmaps for executive audiences. Operate in a hybrid model with four days in-office in Milwaukee, WI.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investment data, investment operations, portfolio operations, data governance, reference data, market data, valuation, or a related investment services function
  • In-depth understanding of investment data concepts, including securities, issuers, benchmarks, pricing, valuation, reference data, and/or investment product data
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional governance forums, working groups, councils, or senior stakeholder routines
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, facilitate decisions, and influence across business, investment, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams
  • Experience with data quality management, data cleansing, issue resolution, controls, documentation, and governance practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and drive sustainable solutions
  • Proficiency with data management tools and software, such as Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, PowerApps, or similar technologies
  • Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time
  • Operate computer programs and software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats
  • Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in The United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with accounting, trading, or investment data platforms such as APX, CRD, Bloomberg, or related enterprise data platforms
  • Familiarity with accounting and valuation considerations across multiple asset classes, including structured products and derivatives
  • Experience building data quality dashboards, metrics, scorecards, or executive reporting for data governance initiatives
  • Ability to translate technical data topics into compelling business narratives, decisions, and action plans
