Senior Business Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Analyze financial performance drivers and identify relevant trends by collaborating with division head office finance professionals. Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes by preparing summary data, reports, findings, and recommendations for the FP&A team. Optimize productivity through automated solutions and coordinate information requirements for ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual business analysis. Provide ad-hoc financial information to the controller and support accounting and reporting functions during critical periods. Consolidate data as required and participate in business process improvement initiatives. This role supports the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu with a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week at the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business
- CPA certification
- 5 years at least with advanced professional experience in a Financial Analyst role
- Bilingual French – English (writing and oral communication skills)
- English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software
- MS Office with advanced Excel knowledge
- SAP/TM1 (mgt reporting tool) or equivalent ERPs
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
- Strong financial, accounting analytical skills and good judgement
- Good sense of initiative with pro-active skills
- High ability to adapt to change and ad-hoc request with ability to work in a multi-task & changing environment with strength in working with tight schedule
- 2-3 days per week at the office
