Job Summary
Senior Business Development Lead in the Platform Partnerships group focusing on product enablement partnerships. Own the business development strategy for how external data, APIs, and technology partnerships unlock and accelerate the product roadmap. Act as the primary BD liaison to Product Marketing, building trusted relationships with product leads and maintaining visibility into the roadmap to anticipate partnership needs. Lead end-to-end deal processes from outreach and scoping through negotiation, term sheets, and contract execution, developing commercial frameworks across data licensing, API, and technology partnerships. Develop a point of view on build-vs-buy-vs-partner tradeoffs and bring recommendations to Product and Engineering leadership. Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering to align on partner profiles, costs, revenue opportunities, success metrics, and contracting frameworks. Build deep expertise in relevant data, technology, and service-provider landscapes and define KPIs, reporting, and feedback loops to scale partnerships globally. Role details: Contract type: 1 year, Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Location: US-based, remote, Pay Rate Range: $75-$95 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience partnering closely with product and engineering teams to enable product development
- Familiarity with data licensing, API agreements, and technology vendor negotiations
- Ability to develop and execute proactive partnership strategy
- Strong commercial instincts and experience structuring deals across partner types
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with multiple priorities
- Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to align strategy and move deals forward
- Excellent communication and influence skills, able to convey complex product/technical context to senior stakeholders
