Senior Business Controller

Senior Business Controller to serve as a financial business partner to Engineering and R&D teams, identifying, evaluating and securing non-dilutive funding (e.g., WBSO, EIC Accelerator, Horizon Europe) and managing grant applications from assessment through reporting and audit close-out. Develop budgets, forecasts and business cases; perform budget versus actual analysis; support annual budgeting, long-range planning, and strategic decision-making. Contribute to investment proposals, business development initiatives, and M&A assessments; assist with financial accounting activities including balance sheet reconciliations and IP-related reporting; coordinate with external auditors during year-end closings and with grant auditors for subsidized projects. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in finance/controlling/grants management or strategic finance, strong financial modelling and forecasting, ability to translate technical concepts into financial insights, and experience partnering with engineering/R&D teams; nice-to-haves include semiconductor/high-tech experience and familiarity with funding programs (WBSO, RVO, EIC) and tools (NetSuite, Clockwise). The role is based in the Netherlands (Rijswijk) with an in-office work pattern.
