(Senior) Business Application Engineer – Polarion ALM

Job Summary
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technical opportunities and gather user requirements for Polarion customizations, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations. Configure, customize, and maintain Polarion ALM solutions to support engineering, quality, and compliance processes, while performing troubleshooting and system administration tasks including user management, monitoring, log analysis, and upgrades. Develop technical documentation and support validation, change management, and compliance activities in regulated environments. This role requires a background in Engineering or IT with Polarion ALM experience, Java/JavaScript skills, and knowledge of REST APIs and databases. The position offers a hybrid work model in Munich with 30 vacation days and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Education in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with Polarion ALM configuration, customization, administration and support
- Experience with Java and/or JavaScript
- Proficiency in English
- Team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Creativity, logical and structured thinking, and a passion for solving complex technical and business challenges
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL), Git, and modern development tools
- Experience with Polarion SDK, Velocity scripting, and system integrations
- Ideally, experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Requirements Management, Test Management, or regulated development processes
