Job Summary
Senior Business Analyst leads complex financial and operational analyses across designated departments within a healthcare system, develops advanced reporting tools and dashboards, automates recurring reports, and supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Responsibilities include variance analyses, financial risk/opportunity identification, governance-compliant transaction coding validation, budget development and resource allocation guidance, and process-improvement initiatives. The role requires designing and maintaining dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar), synthesizing data from multiple systems, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. The position emphasizes collaboration with operational and administrative stakeholders, cross-functional engagement, scenario analysis for departmental growth, and oversight of financials for sponsored projects, clinical trials, clinics, or programs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences. Preferred qualifications include advanced analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), experience with sponsored projects/clinical operations, and healthcare/academic settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Five years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business operations, or data analytics
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet and data analysis tools
- Ability to communicate complex financial and operational information to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
