Job Summary
Senior Business Analyst in a software development context, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver digital solutions. May assume Product Owner responsibilities in some projects, driving product vision, defining the backlog, prioritizing features, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Responsibilities include researching the domain, drafting business solutions, participating in solution design and backlog management, translating business requirements into software specifications, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting sprint planning, testing releases, analyzing impact on existing systems, preparing workflow-based solutions, and maintaining up-to-date specifications and product documentation. Emphasizes problem solving, curiosity, strong communication, and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment; experiences across industries such as Asset Financing, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Retail & Distribution are preferred, along with Agile/Scrum/Design Thinking/Less Start-up approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Must-have Proven hands-on experience in identifying and analysing requirements under time constraints, at superior quality using techniques like workshops, interviews, and process mapping
- Hands-on experience with business process flows documentation and software design and documentation
- Must-have Experience in Asset Financing, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing or Retail & Distribution industries
- Must-have Experience in directly working with product designers and development teams
- Must-have Minimum Relevant experience (3-5 years) in business analysis, technical consultancy and/or in building software products
- Knowledge of business modeling and data analysis methods
- Previous exposure to Agile/ Scrum / Design Thinking / Lean Start-up
- Strong people skills to effectively liaise with both team members and board level
- Good understanding of business models and process flows
- Strong Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills, analytical thinking
- Business-oriented and people-oriented
- Restlessly in search of improvement of status quo
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous streams
