Job Summary
Senior Business Analyst role bridging the Billing & Equity Analytics squad and business stakeholders. Translate complex financial requirements into actionable technical tasks; ensure billing systems are accurate and analytics dashboards provide high-value insights. Lead discovery to produce BRDs/FRDs and detailed specifications; manage and prioritize the product backlog by writing user stories and acceptance criteria; facilitate Agile ceremonies. Collaborate with analytics to build dashboards in Tableau or AWS QuickSight and perform basic SQL data validation to verify billing data. Strong communication across diverse teams, with experience in equities/derivatives and financial-domain knowledge. Role supports a cloud-first, hybrid workstyle in Toronto, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and delivering finance analytics-driven value.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience writing BRDs and FRDs
- Experience with Jira/Confluence
- Ability to lead a team through a full sprint cycle
- Technical familiarity with Tableau or AWS QuickSight
- Basic SQL proficiency (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE)
- Experience performing UAT and QA
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with equities and derivatives domain (advantage)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- CSPO/CSM or CBAP (nice to have)
- Python familiarity (nice to have)
- Familiarity with data visualization and financial data lakes
