Job Summary
Senior Business Intelligence Analyst responsible for gathering customer requirements, designing analytics and reporting solutions, and delivering actionable business insights. Responsibilities include eliciting requirements from internal and external stakeholders, creating functional specifications, supporting Q&A for development, directing day-to-day sprint work, performing acceptance testing, maintaining knowledge of the application, and providing usability perspective to the design and development teams. Must leverage SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Cognos, Business Objects) to build dashboards and analytics that enable customers to predict, manage, and respond to risks, with strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a global team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or risk management-related field or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Cognos, Business Objects) preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a global team
- Ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders and translate into functional specs
- Experience with agile/sprint environments and user acceptance testing
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and usability considerations
