Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner

Job Summary
Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog, defining the roadmap, leading requirements elicitation, and acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams. Will produce and maintain business requirements, functional specs, process flows, user stories, and data mappings; write clear acceptance criteria; lead backlog refinement; prioritize backlog decisions; monitor delivery progress and mitigate risks; collaborate with UX/UI designers and solution architects; mentor other BAs; continuously improve BA practices and delivery quality. Requires strong stakeholder management, analytical skills, data interpretation for analyses, cross-functional collaboration, and excellent English communication. Familiarity with web/mobile development, APIs, Jira/Confluence is a plus; banking/financial services domain experience is a nice-to-have.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner role
- Proven experience owning a product backlog and driving prioritization decisions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently manage relationships at all organizational levels, including senior leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cross-functional impacts and drive informed decisions
- Ability to interpret and work with data to support analysis, validate requirements, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working across multiple teams or domains simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Familiarity with web and mobile application development processes, including understanding of front-end, back-end, and API concepts
- Nice to have: Experience with backlog management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence); Basic SQL skills or experience querying data to support analysis and validation; Experience in the financial services or banking industry
