Job Summary
Analyze business requirements, develop insights to drive strategy, and create testing protocols for software deployments. Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to define standards, establish frameworks, and manage project timelines from inception to implementation. Design scalable processes for work prioritization and deliver presentations on progress and findings. Maintain documentation and act as a trusted advisor by synthesizing trends and recommending technology solutions. Work dynamically between IT, Operations, and Underwriting Programs while traveling up to 20% of the year. This role supports Mission Underwriters' turnkey platform for launching Program Administrator businesses, leveraging purpose-driven technology to simplify workflows and eliminate legacy system burdens.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; OR 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services, insurance, or data analytics industry
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Proven success in business requirements gathering, design and development proper documentation for prioritization within the overall roadmap and technology direction
- Demonstrated strategic thought leadership around business intelligence capabilities
- Demonstrated ability in business facilitation and effective use of project management techniques/tools
- Client facing experience
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the year
- Ability to work dynamically between IT, Operations, and Underwriting Programs
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of Insurance Company, MGA or TPA experience
- Knowledge of business key performance indicators (KPIs) with a preference in KPIs for the risk, insurance, and claims industry
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory environment
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Project management experience and managing business projects for the full life cycle, from inception to implementation
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Understands the fundamentals of commercial insurance and claims processes/services
- Working knowledge of insurance technology (i.e., policy and program admin systems)
- Understanding of Agile project management and development process
- ISO knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to set direction, organize and manage own work, and effectively work in collaboration with others
- Ability to acquire core business acumen within a given industry or customer segment
- Ability to synthesize requests, uncover inherent trends, make recommendations about associated implications to business performance, communicate findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences and overall technology roadmap
