Job Summary
Senior Business Analyst for Financial Markets & Group Treasury within ING’s Tribe Financial Accounting. The role acts as a change expert and single point of contact for front-to-back initiatives, translating business requirements into Finance user requirements, coordinating squad activities, and ensuring backlogs and user stories are properly managed. You will analyze processes and data quality, implement controls for minimum accounting standards, and support strategic initiatives through testing (functional, acceptance, migration) and translation of designs into IT solutions. The position emphasizes deep domain knowledge in Wholesale Banking product accounting, complex financial markets products, and close collaboration with international stakeholders in an Agile environment. Possession of a Master’s degree in a related field, extensive experience in the financial industry, strong SQL and IT aptitude, and excellent English communication are key success factors.
Required Qualifications
- University (Master’s) degree in (Management) Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy or (Business) economics
- More than ten years experience within the financial industry with knowledge of Wholesale Banking product accounting concepts
- Understanding and knowledge of banking processes
- Knowledge of (complex) Financial Markets products
- Knowledge of (product) Accounting concepts
- Knowledge and experience with SQL
- Knowledge and experience with creating test plans and test cases and execution of Functional, Acceptance and Migration testing
- Maintain accounting specifications for FM & GT products; ledger processes; documentation for end users
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to build relationships with international stakeholders
- Proactive attitude; ability to work in Agile environment; AWOW tooling familiarity
- Team player but also capable of working independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Affinity with IT and innovation
