Senior Business Analyst - Data Quality

Job Summary
Own data quality, integrity, and reliability for market data flowing through APIs, front-end applications, and downstream consumers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and engineering teams to define governance frameworks, manage SLAs, and drive automation and AI-driven quality controls. Ensure data assets meet industry best practices while proposing tools to streamline operations and build quality assurance models. Liaise with third-party providers to enforce standards and introduce new processes for continuous improvement across multi-market, multi-asset environments. Requires 6+ years in business analysis with 2–3 years in data quality within financial services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- at least 2–3 years focused on data quality or data management within financial services, capital markets, or trading environments
- Strong understanding of market/reference data (pricing, corporate actions, instrument reference data, classifications) and core data quality dimensions – completeness, accuracy, timeliness and consistency
- Experience working with third-party data vendors and managing SLAs and quality standards
- Proven track record of defining data quality frameworks, roadmaps and governance processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, engineering and vendor teams
- Experience writing BRDs/FSDs and user stories, and working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Working knowledge of how data flows through APIs into front-end applications and downstream consumers
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with data quality or data management tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Collibra or similar)
- Working knowledge of SQL and data querying/analysis
- Exposure to automation and AI-driven approaches to data quality management
- Prior experience in a multi-market, multi-asset trading, brokerage or fintech environment
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP or CDMP
