Senior Business Analyst (AI)

Job Summary
Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders to identify AI and automation opportunities, then analyse processes to assess feasibility and develop business cases. Produce process models using BPMN, document functional requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure delivery-ready specifications. Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, UAT design, and production handover while establishing baseline metrics for benefit measurement. Ensure solutions comply with governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements such as POPIA. This Senior Business Analyst will join a strategic AI delivery team focused on enterprise-scale initiatives transforming business operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- 6+ years' experience in Business Analysis within enterprise environments
- Minimum 2 years' experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, Data, or Intelligent Automation initiatives
- Proven experience taking solutions from discovery through implementation and business adoption
- Strong Agile delivery experience within cross-functional teams
- Experience working with business stakeholders across multiple business functions
- BPMN or Process Modelling
- SQL
- GCP or AWS Cloud Platforms
- APIs & Integration Patterns
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- POPIA & Compliance
Desired Qualifications
- CBAP, CCBA, or IIBA Business Analysis certification
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Improvement qualifications
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Document Processing, or Workflow Automation
- Telecommunications, financial services, or large enterprise experience
- Exposure to AI solution patterns, LLMs, and Intelligent Automation platforms
