Job Summary
Lead and deliver professional building surveying instructions, undertaking project management, contract administration, and technical due diligence for commercial clients. Provide dilapidations, landlord and tenant, and party wall advice while preparing specifications, schedules of condition, and defect reports. Conduct building pathology assessments and reinstatement cost assessments to ensure projects meet high professional standards within agreed timescales. Develop and maintain strong client relationships by identifying new business opportunities, promoting firm services through networking, and collaborating on cross-selling to support fee income objectives. Mentor junior surveyors and graduates by sharing technical knowledge and best practice to foster a collaborative environment. This role offers exposure to diverse commercial assets within Knight Frank's Commercial Building Consultancy team in London, working alongside market-leading professionals to advise prominent occupiers and investors.
Required Qualifications
- MRICS qualification
- Experience working within commercial building surveying
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, dilapidations, technical due diligence and project work
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills
- A client-focused and commercially aware approach
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of NBS Specification Writer and Microsoft Project
