Job Summary
Lead a team of minimum security inmates in daily custodial operations for Hall County buildings, including scrubbing restrooms, vacuums and mopping floors, dusting windows, and performing minor equipment maintenance. Oversee crew efficiency while completing report forms for maintenance concerns, checking inventory, and ordering supplies from the Operations Manager. Maintain regular attendance and execute other related duties as required. Requires a high school diploma, two years of commercial janitorial experience, and a valid Class I driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in Commercial Janitorial/Custodial work
- Valid Class I Driver's License
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to supervise team of low security inmates
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance methods and procedures
- Knowledge of the tools, materials, equipment and practices of custodial work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and routine cleaning
- Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
- Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to move oneself about the job site by walking
- Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing, crouching or navigating narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces
