Job Summary
Lead structural evaluation and rehabilitation of existing buildings; act as Engineer of Record, signing/sealing structural repair documents and reports; manage multidisciplinary project teams, oversee design development, and ensure rehabilitation solutions meet engineering standards, code requirements, and client objectives; mentor and lead engineers and technicians; develop and seal repair drawings and deliverables; present findings and recommendations to clients and lead proposals and project planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on forensics, rehabilitation, or existing buildings
- Proven experience acting as Engineer of Record on structural repair or retrofit projects
- Strong knowledge of building codes and structural rehabilitation practices
- Experience with project budgeting, scope development, and client management preferred
- Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (e.g., RISA, ADAPT, or similar) preferred
- Master’s degree or specialized certifications in structural/forensic engineering preferred
