Job Summary
Join WSP as a Senior Building Enclosures Consultant, managing and consulting on projects within the Building Enclosures team. Responsibilities include conducting FISP inspections, assisting project teams with design reviews and drawings, and performing site investigations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 5-7 years of experience, professional licensure, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within teams are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related discipline
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in discipline with prior enclosures, façade design, and sustainability experience
- 2 + years as a person directly involved with managing FISP projects
- Professional Licensure/Certification
- Experience in quality control and management
- Highly familiar with building materials and construction processes for design, construction, and/or repair of building enclosures, façades, waterproofing, cladding systems, roofs, parking structure, and the application to project work-related issues
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with discipline-specific design software (WUFI, THERM, energy modeling)
- Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience
- Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups
- Extensive and successful business development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Willing and able to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related discipline
- QEWI in NYC, or on a path to QEWI
- Knowledge of third-party green building rating systems (LEED, Passive House, LBC, WELL, or related)
- Experience with building enclosure commissioning
- Proficiency in discipline-specific design software (i.e., WUFI, THERM, energy modeling)
