Job Summary
Senior Building Code Engineer responsible for leading the commercial plan review program, providing interpretations of the National Building Code and National Energy Code for Buildings, and ensuring compliance with the Saskatoon Building Bylaw and Construction Codes Act. Supervises professional staff, manages staffing and training, conducts performance appraisals, and collaborates with the Building Standards Management Team to develop procedures and revisions to policies. Performs on-site inspections, facilitates intergovernmental coordination, and advises owners, designers, and contractors on code requirements and drawing deficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan
- Saskatchewan Building Official Class 3 Licence
