Job Summary
Senior Budget Manager for Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services. Leads the development, monitoring, and analysis of Head Start and Early Head Start budgets, ensuring compliance with Head Start regulations and 2 CFR Part 200. Supervises Accountant II and Bookkeeper; collaborates with program leadership to align budgets with enrollment and program goals; prepares budgets for funding applications and cost-of-living adjustments; analyzes variances, monitors grant burn rates, and generates audit-ready reports. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business/finance (CPA highly preferred), a minimum of seven years’ federal grant budgeting experience with at least three years in supervision, and nonprofit/government-funded program experience; California driver’s license and compliance with health and safety requirements are included in the role. Location: City of Industry, CA. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Finance and Business Operations, with duties spanning budget development, monitoring, compliance, reporting, risk management, and collaboration across the finance and program teams.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- CPA license highly preferred
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing federal grant budgets
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Experience in nonprofit or government-funded programs
- Head Start experience preferred
