Job Summary
Lead design, assessment, and inspection schemes for highways structures across Gloucestershire County, working directly with client officers to support strategic decision-making and project delivery. Drive compliance on projects and among colleagues by applying relevant legislation while maintaining high standards of Health and Safety. Collaborate with established structures professionals and cross-functional WSP resources to maintain and enhance critical infrastructure assets, contributing to both protective programs and new major transport projects. Ensure value for highway users while supporting the development of your professional status.
Required Qualifications
- A mature approach to Health and Safety, promoting high standards and setting an example for the team, colleagues and clients
- An excellent knowledge of the relevant legislation which you can use to drive compliance on your project and among colleagues
- Experience in the development of highways structures projects, assessments and/or inspections
- Evidence of being a confident communicator able to convey your point of view and keep stakeholders and colleagues informed
- Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
- A civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
